Can the next pope keep Cardinals out of jail?

Comment:
For a long time, I have not understood hierarchical dynamics that shielded clerics from criminal prosecution.  I could not understand why ordination allowed them to remain above the law and I certainly do not understand this movement to grant immunity to the pope for crimes against humanity.  Jerry Slevin, an international lawyer, has answered many of my questions.  We have been schooled to keep our eyes shut, our ears closed and our actions dimunitive.

Catholics need to rise above this if they do not want to be labeled accomplices in it.  Criminal behavior has been leveled against the hierarchy.  We need to stand back and allow the courts to do what needs to be done.  And in the meantime-plan for a renewal the is "Catholic" at its best.
